Festa San Pedro has been observed by the Kristang community in Malacca since the 1500s. What began as a religious tribute to the patron saint of fishermen has grown into a joyful gathering of heritage, music and togetherness. For one evening only, that heritage takes centre stage, and you get a front-row seat.
The menu alone is worth the journey. Kristang cooking lives in the memories of grandmothers, in faded handwritten notes, and in kitchens where recipes have been whispered across generations.
